Name: Dexter Grif
Fandom: Red vs. Blue
Timeline: Episode 1 to present.
Age: In his thirties.(assumed, not canon, no canon age is stated)
Appearance: He has dark brown hair that comes to his mid-neck and is often tied back, he doesn't grow it out on purpose it's just out of pure laziness, his stubble is also a result of this. A lifetime of smoking and eating processed snacks has left Grif in the worst of shape for a soldier in the military, he is overweight though he does have muscle from his service in the military.
Abilities: He has no real abilities other than his profound laziness. Really any situation he ends up in he tends to take the lazy way out and procrastinate on it.
Personality: Grif is often brash and tends to have a flair for melodrama, quick to make silly theories or insults towards anyone (even those who could easily hurt him). He is a very lazy individual, his profound laziness is commented upon during several points in the series. Though portrayed as lazier than all get out Grif has shown points of initiative and courage
History: He was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. There's not a whole lot that he remembers about his pre-military life, but he does remember that his father wasn't around much and that after his mother ran off to join the circus (as both the Bearded Lady and the Fat Lady), he had to take care of himself and his younger sister, Kaikaina. He seems to have at some point attended Harvard University and has stated distaste for Columbus University.
One thing Grif definitely does remember, though, is not having volunteered for the Army, though he claims he had signed up to fight aliens. Instead, when civil war broke out and the UNSC forces split up into Red and Blue, the first draft in 400 years was held… to cover a one-man discrepancy between the sides. Grif's was the not-so-lucky number.
Grif is very unenthusiastic about fighting the war and actively tries to leave the army, he even tries to get himself court-martialed, despite this when he had finally been given a chance to leave the army he decides to stay. His team's command, Sarge, has a great displeasure for Grif and tends to place the blame of anything that goes wrong on Grif whether it truly was Grif's doing or not.
